The Locked Door
A novel by Evelyn E. Fallone
Something isn’t quite right inside Andrew Bartleby’s house.
Every night at midnight the same sequence repeats itself: The train whistle in the distance. The grandfather clock striking twelve. The sound of dripping water. The eyes on the broken Kit-Cat Klock springing to life. Then…the noise of something moving around in the room next to Andrew, a room which has always been locked and has no other entrance.
Trapped inside, can Andrew solve the mysterious clues he finds hidden in the house before whoever – or whatever – is behind the locked door comes looking for him?

Meet Aunt Evie
Evelyn E. Fallone is an award-winning storyteller who lives and writes in a 100 year-old house in Park Hills, KY. Her house isn’t haunted, but this doesn’t mean strange things don’t keep happening, like how there’s never any cookies in the pantry even though she keeps buying them, or like when the cat’s eyes widen and follow something invisible through the room. (Of course the cat might just be messing with her. She’s like that.)
Despite her love of throwing fancy dinner parties, puttering in her garden, and curling up in her favorite chair to read, Evelyn is happiest late at night, fingers poised over the keyboard, visions of strange lands, make-believe people, and weird tales — often spooky — swirling in her head. She delights in creating stories that children will cherish, making the world a better and more interesting place.
